Short Play Festival  - Best of Playwright Center SF

Join us for a performance of the six winners of the PlayOffs – one from each group of five.

The winning plays are:

  • Group 1 – “Something Grand,” written by Homeira Elder, directed by Rae Cofsky and featuring Mariah Moore and Blake Weaver.
  • Group 2 – “What Secret?,” written by Sue Schleifer, directed by Wm. Diedrick Razo, and featuring Don Hardwick, Nicole Martin and Luna Randolph.
  • Group 3 – “Right,” written by Cherielyn Ferguson, directed by Rae Cofsky and featuring Elizabeth Aaron and Renee Rogoff.
  • Group 4 – “Doors are Closing,” written by Donald Cooper, directed by Gino Rose, and featuring Vonn Scott Bair and Derek Kingsley.
  • Group 5 – “Apparently,” written by Mindy Myers, directed by Manny Golez and featuring Khari Haynes, Derek Kingsley, James Roberts and Richard Wenzel.
  • Group 6 – “The Three O’Clock,” written by Peggy Powell, directed by Amanda Lee and featuring Alex Mechanic, Annette Amelia Oliveira and Richard Wenzel.

The two next highest scoring audience favorites will also be presented:

  • “1937 at the Cafe Guibbe Rosse,” from Group 5, written by Barbara Anderson, directed by Manny Golez, and featuring Elizabeth Aaron and David Leon.
  • “A Womb of One’s Own,” from Group 6, written by Dennis Edds, directed by Amanda Lee and featuring Brian Flegel, Cary Ann Rosko and Blake Weaver.
