Drunken Film Fest partners with fun and friendly bars to present free pop-up film events! We’re here to create a unique film festival experience for everyone without sacrificing any of the quality of major festival programming. We might have some drinks, but we're more about getting drunk on film.
Jackpot! The 7th Annual Drunken Film Fest Oakland is here. From October 4-11, join us for eight fun nights of independent films, where every night brings a new adventure to your week!
We're called "Drunken Film Fest" because we bring films directly to you in bars. Drinking is optional, of course! For the first time ever, we're heading across the bay to San Francisco for our Opening Night and kicking things off with two nights of feature-length films in theaters. Then we head into our program of 69 short films in bars!

Free pop-up screenings of short films in some of the best bars around Oakland! These are first-come, first-served, so grab your spot early and bring blankets to stay warm or to sit with us in the "first row" on the ground (sickos only :P).
Each night is a special program that blends genres together throughout blocks of short films and intermissions. It's the perfect way to get out of the house for a chill night out with potential and old friends!
